Previously, Mr. Belvis was a partner for over 20 years in Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione.  Mr. Belvis has substantial patent litigation experience, including bench and jury trials, ITC cases, appeals before the Federal Circuit and alternate dispute resolutions in the United States, Canada, U.K., Europe, and Asia.  Mr. Belvis is a former Master in the Richard Linn Inn of Court, member of the Congress of Fellows of the Center for International Legal Studies and Chairperson of the DePaul Law School IP Advisory Board.

Mr. Belvis is the author of the book Intellectual Property in Business Transactions: Protecting the Competitive Advantage (Law Journal Press, 2010) and has lectured at Oxford University and Peking University. He is the former editor of Aspen Annual IP Update and Clark Boardman’s Licensing Law and Business Report.

Mr. Belvis obtained a BS Degree in Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from the University of DePaul Law School.
